Monique Swanepoel – Maternity

Monique & I have worked together for a number of years now. She is one of my talented and amazing make-up and hair stylists that I use for both Shelley B Photography & Femme Fatale Boudoir. So, I was very excited when she said she wanted to do a maternity shoot. This was her first pregnancy and she expecting twin girls, who were born on the 7th October.

We decided to do a more styled shoot, with our theme being flowers. So, we wanted a beautiful backdrop, which I had specially printed for us by Robyn at Amber Rose. I can’t recommend Robyn enough, she went out of her way to help me find exactly what I wanted. Service like this is not often found nowadays. Monique then had her gorgeous flower crown made by Lucinda, who makes flowers out of paper – they are beautiful & incredible. I can’t believe what this talented lady can make out of paper. Then the dress was made by Veronica, who is so creative and amazing when it comes to making maternity gowns. She will go out of her way to make your dreams come true…as her gowns are gorgeous!

We ended up going into the street outside my studio to take a few pics as the sun was setting, so Monique had a few others that were beautiful but not necessarily tied to our original idea.

Thank you to all my suppliers for making my job and life easier – I wouldn’t be able to manage without you!
